NATO Terminates Cooperation with Russia

NATO terminates its practical cooperation with Russia, because of the tensions in Ukraine. 

According to NATO's Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, quoted by the Russian wire agency ITAR-TASS, currently NATO is reconsidering its cooperation with Russia. 

“We were planning a joint operation on securing the US ship, on whose board will be destroyed Syria's chemical weapons,” Rasmussen said. “We will guard it, but Russia will not participate.”

Meanwhile, NATO said it will not recognize the referendum in Crimea. According to Rasmussen, it is illegal and anti-constitutional and violates the international treaties.
