We are creating better conditions for doing business

VIENNA - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said in Vienna Thursday that Austrian investors have recognized Serbia as a country favorable for investment, adding that the Serbian authorities will do everything possible to create even better conditions for doing business.

Nikolic said that all the investors who have come to Serbia have become confident that it is a good investment destination and stayed.

“We will create even better conditions and further simplify procedures so that the investors already present could expand their businesses and that others could come, too” Nikolic said during a meeting he had with Austrian President Heinz Fischer.

The Serbian president, who is on a two-day visit to Austria, was greeted with full military and state honors and President Fischer upon arrival at Hofburg Palace today.

Nikolic will also meet with Austrian Parliament Speaker Barbara Prammer, businessmen and representatives of the Serbian diaspora.

On the second day of his visit, President Nikolic will visit an Italian military cemetery that is a final resting place for some 8,000 World War One Serbian soldiers and internees.

He will also pay a visit to the World War Two Mauthausen-Gusen concentration camp.

The Serbian delegation also comprises Foreign Minister Ivan Mrkic and Serbian Ambassador to Austria Pero Jankovic.
