Dacic: Economic stabilization is most important

BELGRADE - Serbia's Prime Minister Ivica Dacic met with Czech President Milos Zeman on Tuesday and said one of the most important tasks was to stabilize the economic situation in the country, adding that it required better cooperation between Serbia and the Czech Republic.

Dacic and Zeman said the relations between the two coutnries were at a high level and characterized by intensive political dialogue, the Serbian government office for media relations has stated.

The Czech Republic supports Serbia's EU intergation, and the two countries should use any opportunities to improve their economic cooperation, the two officials noted.

Dacic stressed that Serbia was trying to achieve agreements with Pristina in Brussels that would allow the Serb community in Kosovo to stay there and create the conditions needed for a lasting and stable peace in the region.

Zeman is on a two-day visit to Serbia. He first met with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic.
