Scandal in Zajecar: A six grade pupil is to deliver a baby

A girl was skillfully hiding her pregnancy. Her professors noticed that she was pregnant and addressed the competent bodies.

A 13-year old pupil of the sixth grade of a compulsory school in Zajecar is in the seventh month of pregnancy and the Center for Social Care has undertaken care of her.

 

-For several months she looked concerned but we thought that the reason was puberty. She was skillfully hiding the stomach with wide wordrobe. The moment we started doubting in pregnancy we addressed the competent bodies – we were told at the school.

 

The girl lives in a suburb of Zajecar in a rented flat with her jobless mother. The girl has been now accommodated with a family that shall take care of her even after delivery which is to take place in May.

 

The Center shall take care about the girl and her baby until she is 16. The procedure for getting a majority status as per the parenthood ground shall then be launched in the court. After that the girl and her baby shall be left on their own.

The girl did not want to reveal the name of a man, the father of her baby.

- On the basis of her behavior we think that she was not forced to sex. She has not told the name of the father to anyone, not even to her friends – the competent bodies said.
