Young people sentenced to be subtenants

The large number of those who need a flat today, can afford to pay a monthly credit installment of up to 100 Euros. That amount is not sufficient to purchase about the cheapest 20 square meters in Serbia.

At the moment there are about 300,000 subtenants in Serbia, half of them are in Belgrade.

 

In spite of being employed, young people in Nis dare not purchase flats on credit. Modest pays and unfavorable bank credits are some of the reasons for their decision to live as subtenants.

 

They can only hope that something shall change in the future. Saving of money for a credit is not possible having in mind that subtenants have to pay the rent.

 

Uncertainty regarding job and economic crisis the end of which is not in sight, also prevent many people to go into an adventure called a credit for a flat.
