BELGRADE - Czech President Milos Zeman said on Wednesday that Czech companies could help develop the Serbian economy and improve life in the country.

The Czech Republic's goal is to make long-term projects and that is of the highest importance for the country, Zeman said at a Serbian-Czech business forum at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

Entrepreneurs are the ones who can solve the current social and economic crisis in the wols, he noted, pointing to the experience of Czech companies in building power stations, motorways and railroads.

Zeman hopes that during the next visit of a member of the Czech delegation to Serbia, they will be able to verify that Czech companies have helped improve life in Serbia.

The forum was organized as part of an official visit by a delegation of Czech government officials and businessmen, led by Zeman.

The business part of the delegation comprises around 50 companies from the sectors of energy, construction, engineering, IT, pharmacy, agriculture, trade and services, as well as officials of institutes and universities that are interested in working with Serbian companies.
