Ivanovic and Jaksic through to Monterrey WTA semifinal

MONTERREY - Serbian female tennis players Ana Ivanovic and Jovana Jaksic qualified for the Monterrey WTA International semifinal in Mexico, the prize fund of which totals USD 500,000.

In the quarterfinal match, Ivanovic beat Slovakia's Magdalena Rybarikova, 6-1, 0-6, 6-2, while Jaksic achieved her biggest success in her career by defeating Julia Boserup of the U.S., 6-3, 6-0.

In the semifinal, Ivanovic will cross rackets with Danish player Caroline Wozniacki who beat Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic, 6-7 (3-7), 6-3, 6-3. In the fight for the final, Jaksic will cross rackets with Japan's Kimiko Date Krumm who beat Monica Puig Marchan of Puerto Rico, 6-4, 6-7 (3-7), 6-4.
