Serbia at book fairs in Skopje, Sarajevo for first time

BELGRADE - Serbia will be represented at an international book fair in Skopje (from April 8-14), and then in Sarajevo (April 23-28), the National Library of Serbia (NBS) as an executive organizer announced on Monday.

For the first time since the break-up of Yugoslavia, Serbian writers and publishers will have an organized presentation at the two fairs which will facilitate a broader regional presence of the Serbian literature and publishing companies.

Writers Goran Petrovic, Dragan Jovanovic Danilov and Srdjan V. Tesin will be presented at the Skopje fair. The national stand will just show Serbia's offer.

Apart from the presentation of Serbian authors at the fair, programs are also due to be held in the city of Skopje, which will be open to a wider public, as well as special meetings with members of the Serbian community.

In comparison to the previous year when Serbia took part in four international book fairs abroad, this year the country would be represented at eight such events.
