77th anniversary of Momo Kapor's birth

BELGRADE - Momcilo Momo Kapor, one of the most famous Serbian writers, an author of cult books, a painter and journalist, was born in Sarajevo 77 years ago today.

Kapor graduated as a painter from the Belgrade Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of professor Nedeljko Gvozdenovic in 1961. His paintings have been exhibited in New York, Boston, Geneva, Frankfurt, London and other cities.

In addition to a great number of paintings, his works include many novels and collections of stories. He also authored many documentaries and television shows and wrote the screenplays for many feature films.

His most famous works include the novels Ada, Zoe, From Seven to Three, The Chronicle of a Lost City, The Green Felt of Montenegro, The Last Flight to Sarajevo and Hey, I have never told you that.
