Jankovic halted in first doubles round in Bogota

BOGOTA - Serbian tennis player Jelena Jankovic and Danka Kovinic of Montenegro lost to Elitsa Kostova (Bulgaria) and Chieh Yu Hsu (U.S.) 1-6, 6-3, 10-6 in a first-round doubles match on Wednesday.

In the singles category, Jankovic is defending the title. She has been seeded first, and will take on Mathilde Johansson of France in a first-round match on Wednesday evening.

The prize fund of the WTA tournament in Bogota amounts to USD 250,000.
