Metalac, Plazma best brands of decade in Serbia

BELGRADE - Metalac and Plazma have been the best brands in Serbia in the last ten years, it was announced at a ceremony in Belgrade, during which the winners of the 10th "Best from Serbia" award were declared.

This year, 175 brands applied for this prestigious recognition, and 23 winners were declared for 2013, including the best commodity and corporate brand in the previous decade.

Fiat Automobiles of Serbia claimed the Best Exporter Award, as a big company, while Bioenergy Point won the title in the category of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The awards were also granted to the best corporate brand in 2013, the best commodity brand, the best trademark, as well as for the best launch of a new brand.

Coca Cola Hellenic took the award in the category of foreign corporate brands, while the company Gazprom Petrol Stations got the award for the best introduction of a new foreign brand.

The award for the best state-owned or partly state-owned company went to Telekom Serbia, and the Futog cabbage is the best brand with the protected geographical indication.

The 10th "Best from Serbia" awards ceremony, which was held at the Yugoslav Drama Theater on Wednesday evening, was organized by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications and the Belgrade-based economic daily "Privredni pregled".
