Serbia, Croatia sign plan of military agreement in 2014

BELGRADE - The plan of bilateral military cooperation between the Serbian Ministry of Defence and the Croatian Defence Ministry for the year of 2014 was signed in Belgrade on Friday.

The document was signed by representative of Head of the Department for International Military Cooperation at the Defence Ministry Colonel Milan Konjikovac and envoy of the Croatian Defence Ministry Ivan Jusic.

The bilateral cooperation is mostly conducted through exchange of experiences in the transformation of the armed forces and participation in multinational operations so far, the Serbian Ministry of Defence posted on its website.

The two officials expressed satisfaction with the continuity of high-level visits and the plans for execution of joint exercises with a view to improving operative and functional capacities of the two armies. Konjikovac said that the Serbian Ministry of Defence is interested in improving the military-educational and military-medical cooperation with Croatia.

Jusic said that Croatia is willing to back Serbia in its European integration by offering its experiences concerning the activities connected to military cooperation with the EU.
