SNS presidency meets to discuss cabinet

BELGRADE -- The presidency of the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) will meet on Monday afternoon in Belgrade to discuss the formation of Serbia's new government.

After this session, more details are expected to be known about the composition of the new cabinet.

According to earlier announcements, the second round of talks on the future government was to be held over the weekend, but "without the presence of the public."

SNS President Aleksandar Vučić last Monday met with representatives of the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians and offered them to join the future ruling coalition.

A day later, on Tuesday, he met with representatives of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), and on Thursday with officials of the New Democratic Party (NDS).

Vučić said earlier that a new government should be formed by April 27 and would have 19 members.

SNS Vice President Nebojša Stefanović has said that he expects the government to be formed by April 27.
