Djokovic battles his way to Monte Carlo semis

MONTE CARLO - Serbia's best tennis player Novak Djokovic advanced to the semifinals at the Monte Carlo Masters, after defeating Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 on Friday.

Djokovic managed to up his H2H record against Garcia-Lopez to 6-0, but not as easy as it could have been expected, after two hours and 13 minutes.

After Albert Montanes and Pablo Carreno Busta, the Serbian tennis player defeated the third Spanish player in the tournament.

On his way to the final, Djokovic will on Saturday afternoon take on Roger Federer of Switzerland who previously defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France 2-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-1.
