President Nikolic to name PM-designate on Tuesday

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will name a prime minister-designate on Tuesday, April 22, after consultations with parliamentary parties, the president's press office has announced.
On Thursday, Nikolic held consultations with representatives of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) - led coalition, the Democratic Party (DS), the New Democratic Party (NDS)-led coalition, the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, the Party of Democratic Action of Sandzak, and the Party for Democratic Action.
The consultations will be resumed on Tuesday with representatives of the slate titled "Aleksandar Vucic- The Future We Believe In" comprising the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), the Social Democratic Party of Serbia, New Serbia, Serbian Renewal Movement and the Movement of Socialists, after which the president will appoint a new prime minister-designate.
In the early parliamentary elections that were held in Serbia on March 16, the SNS secured a commanding majority, sweeping 158 seats in the 250-member parliament.
