President Nikolic signs decrees on decorations

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic signed the decrees on decorations for the Military Medical Academy and 42 members of the Defence Ministry and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Serbia.

The Order of the Kradjordje Star to the third degree was delivered to the Military Medical Academy for special merits in the presentation of the country and its citizens to mark the 170th anniversary of its foundation, the president's press service released.

The Order of the White Eagle with Swords to the second degree was delivered to one individual for special merits in the construction of the defence system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Order of the White Eagle with Swords to the third degree was presented to eight individuals for special merits in command and guidance of military units and institutions.

Three individuals were decorated by the Order of Merits in Defence and Security to the second degree for above-average, exemplary and honourable execution of duties and tasks in the defence and security sector, while five more people received the Order of Merits in Defence and Security to the third degree.

The Gold Medal of Merit went to one individual while 18 more people were decorated by the Silver Medal of Merit.

The Silver Medal for Diligent Service went to one person, states the release on the decrees which the president signed on April 14.
