Saric followed smuggling of cocaine while at the Alps

Transcripts of intercepted telephone conversations prove that Saric was at the Italian ski center Livigno on the eve of confiscation of 235 kilos of cocaine.

Darko Saric said yesterday in the courtroom that his lawyer still did not allow him talk about the transcripts of intercepted phone conversations. He says that ‘there are so many things that I have to tell’.

 

In continuation of the trial against Darko Saric and his gang for smuggling of 5.7 tons of cocaine the transcripts of telephone conversations from January 2009 while Saric was in Italy were listened to. The audio footages recorded conversations between Saric and the accused Goran Sokovic and Zeljko Vujanovic as well as the witness collaborator Nebojsa Joksovic and an unidentified individual.

 

’Check the house and see if the light is on’, ‘If you took them there in spite of this, then this is the end’, ‘Everything has gone away’ – these are only some in a series of coded messages that the prosecutor with a help of the witness collaborator presented as a concern by the accused because of drug confiscation.

 

- Witness Joksovic explained that conversations indicate that Saric’s gang had problems because of the confiscated cocaine. It was also heard ‘Everything has gone away’ – prosecutor Sasa Ivanic said.

 

Saric refused to talk about the transcripts

- Although I would very gladly speak about the transcripts, I shall not do so because my lawyers told me not to speak about them yet. I am looking forward to saying something about them – Saric told Judge Sinisa Petrovic...
