Ten Vucic’s commandments

In a three-hour long expose by the new Serbia Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic one could have heard a large number of almost messages of enlightment to an average citizen illustrated by quotes of famous thinkers.

1. Work and saving is your God

When Bill Gates was asked how he managed to become rich he replied: ‘It is important that we work a lot and have as few needs as possible. It is important to learn to sacrifice. But how did that philosophy help me? It helped me because I managed to persuade my employees in it’.

Our saying ‘Buy only what you can afford’ is understood as something archaic.

 

2. Do not bow to early pension

Have in mind that 69 percent of men went into an early pension. They have not gone into pension by their own will, but due to various problems that the State was causing to them. The same goes for 51 percent of women.


3. Do not mention your party’s name for nothing

Over many years it was the easiest for the governments in Serbia to employ people in public sector instead of helping them create something with their own hands. Many of them were party people. It was a vow of silence and it is the same today. We give you a job and you and yours vote for us. Dear citizens, that era is over.

 

4. Rely on yourself and respect those more successful than you are

Did we want to accept just for a minute that our cynicism, everyday and all day long grumbling, objecting to all and everyone for something that we had once forgiven ourselves so easily… had contributed to this difficult...
