Dačić attends Council of Europe ministerial meeting

VIENNA -- First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dačić is in Vienna where he will take part in the 124th ministerial meeting of the Council of Europe, the Serbian MFA said.

Upon arriving in Vienna, Dačić conferred with Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz late on Monday, according to the ministry.

During the meeting, Dačić "communicated the message of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić."

Vučić is due to visit Austria on May 18-19.

Dačić informed Kurz that Serbia is interested in further development of cooperation and closest possible political and economic ties between Serbia and Austria.

On the margins of the meeting, Dačić will have bilateral meetings with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Finland's Minister of Foreign Affairs Erkki Tuomioja mya and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.

Dačić will also meet with Secretary General of the organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe Lamberto Zannier and Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland, the release states.

The annual meeting of the Council of Europe will focus on the crisis in Ukraine and it gathers 30 foreign ministers from 47 member countries.
