Minister Vulin meets with ILO delegation

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin meet with a delegation of the International Labour Organization (ILO) at the Serbian government on Wednesday, discussing important topics such as plans for drawing up social maps and amendments to Serbia's Labour Law.

According to a statement from the line ministry, the meeting also touched on Serbia’s 2013-2017 Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) and modalities of its implementation.

In particular, they discussed DWCP priorities - strengthening the system of state institutions and social partnership to improve labour market management, opportunities to increase employment and strengthening the social protection system.

Registering for membership in Serbia’s trade unions and Association of Employers were also among the topics discussed.

The meeting was attended by Rie Veis Kjeldgaard, deputy director of the ILO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia, Antonio Graziosi, director of the ILO Office for Central and Eastern Europe and ILO National Coordinator for Serbia Jovan Protic.

Representatives of the International Labour Organization offered Serbia their expert advice and assistance.
