Belgrade Design Week to be held from October 6 to 11

BELGRADE - This year's Belgrade Design Week (BDW) will be held from October 6 to 11, 2014, the organisers have announced.

The Belgrade Design Week will also include an international conference, the BDW Designpark exhibition side-programme, the BDW Designlabs professional programme and the BDW Premiers urban programme.

For the first time in its decade-long history, the BDW festival is to be held under the auspices of the Serbian president and the mayor of Belgrade, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and key support from the embassies and institutions of Japan, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Mexico and Israel.

The theme of this year's conference will be Sense Squared, and it will present the "ABC" of global and national creativity in architecture, advertising, branding, business, communications, digital art, design, film, fashion, publishing and entrepreneurship, the organisers said.

Displayed at BDW 2014 will be more than 100 unique works from over 20 countries of the world, with the most prominent representatives of the Serbian creative industry also featured.

The 100% Serbia project is expected to get its world premiere, with a unique presentation of a multimedia exhibition on the creative thought in Serbia. After Belgrade, it will go to about a dozen major cities of the world.
