Ring Ring festival opens on Thursday

BELGRADE - This year's international new music festival, 19th Ring Ring, will take place at several locations in Belgrade from May 15-28.

Ring Ring will present Serbian and foreign bands, authors and performers of new music.

The festival will be declared open at the Cultural Centre of Belgrade on Thursday by American jazz trio DKV, Serbian artists Milana Zaric and Ana Sofrenovic, Stan Sandell and Joel Grip from Sweden and Szilard Mezei from Serbia.

The program also includes gigs by Joe Sachse Trio (Germany/United Kingdom), William Basinski, avant-garde composer based in New York, Broken Heart Collector, a rock band from Austria, Kim Myhr from Norway, Tudosok from Hungary, Zoambo Zoet Workestra from Slovenia.

The event will be closed on May 28 by the East Rodeo Septet.
