Government adopts several bills

BELGRADE - The Serbian government adopted on Thursday several bills, including amendments to the law on income tax for citizens, in order the reform the business environment.

According to the government information service, the bills include employment tax reliefs meant to combat the gray economy.

The government also adopted a bill on payroll taxes concerning mandatory social insurance, which proposes changes in the level of payments concerning pension and disability insurance, putting them at 26 percent, while health insurance payments were set at 10.3 percent.

These changes are expected to increase employment.

The government adopted a bill on ratifying the agreement on a USD 1 billion loan from the United Arab Emirates.

A bill on ratifying a loan agreement with the Abu Dhabi Development Fund meant to fund an irrigation system was also adopted.
