Roads clear as rivers recede

BELGRADE - The much better weather and water situation in Serbia and the fact the rivers are receding back to their beds have improved the negotiability of roads in the entire country, especially in the worst-hit areas.

The Automobile and Motorcycle Association of Serbia said on Tuesday the withdrawing rivers were leaving behind mud on roads, adding that some roads were greatly damaged, which slowed traffic in the country additionally.

The border crossings Sremska Raca, Badovinci and Mali Zvornik between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia are closed to all vehicles, while the waiting time on other crossings is up to 30 min.
