OSCE presidency great opportunity for Serbia
BELGRADE - Serbia's presidency over the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in 2015 is a political priority for the country and a great opportunity for it to present itself to the world as a significant political factor, Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, who is also foreign minister, said on Saturday during a meeting with OSCE Secretary-General Lamberto Zannier.
Dacic and Zannier discussed crisis hotspots addressed by the OSCE and the challenges posed to it by conflicts in the world, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
With its experience as a post-conflict society that has dealt successfully with the legacy of regional conflicts, Serbia can make a significant contribution to calming the conflicts that are on the OSCE's agenda, the two officials concluded.
