Prince Charles meets MEP Daciana Sarbu, in Bucharest

Organic farming, sustainable development of the mountain area and its attractiveness, and support for the small farmers were the main topics discussed on the meeting that Prince Charles had on Saturday with MEP Daciana Sarbu, recently elected for another term as a member of the European Parliament.

Daciana Sarbu presented HRH Charles, Prince of Wales, the measures taken by the Romanian authorities to increase the attractiveness and sustainable development of the mountain area, and to promote the organic agriculture, with a focus on supporting small farmers.

The Social-Democrat MEP showed that in Romania the demand for organic products is growing, and sustained support for small farmers who need to be able to promote traditional quality products, including the European market.

Daciana Sarbu said that, just as in the previous mandate, will continue to support the European Parliament measures at European level to promote organic farming in connection with the maintenance of local traditions and culture and financial support to small farmers.

Daciana Sarbu presented also his projects in education, to promote a healthy lifestyle among youth.

Romanian MEP thanked Prince Charles for the open support it provides to promote Romania and invited HRH Charles to visit the Danube Delta.
