Four people suspected of recruiting militants to fight in Syria have been arrested in the Paris region, officials revealed.

"There are people who recruit jihadists. There are as I'm speaking arrests being made. We are acting everywhere. There will be no respite in the fight against terrorists", French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve was quoted by BBC as saying.

The latest 4 arrests are not believed to be directly linked to the arrest of Mehdi Nemmouche – the man allegedly responsible for the shootings at a Jewish museum in Brussels on May 24. It was revealed that Nemmouche, a French citizen, has links to jihadist groups fighting in Syria.

The Interior Ministry did not share any more information on the latest arrestees. It is reported that Belgian authorities are also conducting a crackdown on suspected terrorist groups.
