AECOM interested in building sports facilities in Serbia

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic and senior vice-president of sports infrastructure development company AECOM Riad Nashif signed a protocol of cooperation in the field of public private partnership.

The UAE-based AECOM expressed interest in cooperation with Serbia, Udovicic said Monday.

"Our aim is to identify suitable models of cooperation with potential partners that would allow us to minimize budget costs and maximize effects of the construction of sports facilities," noted Udovicic.

AECOM's senior official said that the protocol is based on close cooperation between Serbia and the UAE, adding that it could serve as a basis for future cooperation in sports infrastructure planning and design projects.

AECOM worked on facilities for the Olympic Games held in London and Rio.
