The authorities estimate they will obtain over 300 million euro through the selling of 51 percent of the Electrica stock during the initial public listing that will start on June 16, said, on Tuesday, the head of the Directorate for Privatization of the Energy Department Gabriel Dumitrascu, during a conference on the topic of energy.

* The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has subscribed to 15 per cent of Romania's Garanti Bank RON 300 million (68-million-euro equivalent) offer, EBRD reported on Tuesday.

* Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Daniel Constantin expects the opening of the Chinese market for Romania's exports of live cattle and pork meat in a couple of days, after the field visit of his Chinese counterpart to farms and processing factories; investments in production are equally important, he said on Tuesday.

* Romania must fight to reach the euro adoption target set for January 1, 2019, said on Tuesday, for AGERPRES, Cristian Socol, Prime Minister Victor Ponta's adviser. "I agree with setting a target that is as ambitious as can be, a target that binds you. Romania has proven that when it had anchors it performed much better", said Socol.

* In Romania there is, momentarily, no transparency in determining minimum wage, and that is why the authorities should draw up, in the following period, a transparent wage guide, said on Tuesday Michel Servoz, Director-General of Directorate-General "Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion" of the European Commission, following his meeting with members of labor committees in the Romanian Parliament.
