Vucic: Serbia by its European partners in all

The position of Serbia is in line with the international law and the EU position. The only difference is that Serbia has not imposed sanctions on Russia – the Serbian Prime Minister said in Vienna.

During meeting with the Austrian Vice Chancellor and the Minister of Finance Michael Spindelegger, the Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic pointed out that Belgrade ‘supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine’ and ‘is doing everything to stand by its European partners’.

Vucic pointed out that the European path is the only possible path for Serbia and thanked Austria for the support that it was giving to our country in its process of association with the EU.

-We are doing everything to stand by our European partners. I think that the message by Serbia is clear and that nobody expected that we would voice openly our support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine – Vucic said.

 

Serbia needs help

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic spoke in Vienna about the situation after floods and said that Serbia but also other countries in the region affected by floods, needs European solidarity and help. He said that Serbia would assess the damage together with international organizations. He added that the first assessment by the EBRD was that the damage of two billion Euros is a huge amount for Serbia. He said that Austria had sent big financial help and that ‘it is one of the larger donations that Serbia got from abroad’.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the economic cooperation with Austria ‘is good but there is room that it is improved’.
