Serb List has 2.91 percent so far, Thaci wins

PRIŠTINA -- The Democratic Party of Kosovo led by Hashim Thaci has won in Sunday's early parliamentary elections in Kosovo, it was announced in Priština

On the basis of little more than 94 percent of the votes counted, according to the Central Election Commission in Priština, the party won 31.21 percent of the vote. These results do not include complete results from northern Kosovo, it has been announced.

The Democratic Alliance of Isa Mustafa won 26.13 percent of the vote, and the Self-Determination 13.73 percent.

In fourth place is the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo led Ramush Haradinaj with 9.65 percent, while the Initiative for Kosovo of Fatmir Limaj and Jakup Krasnici won 5.36 percent of the vote.

The Srpska (Serb) List, according to the commission has received 2.91 percent, not counting the votes cast in the four northern Kosovo municipalities.

As announced, the turnout in stood at 43.20 percent.

52,000 Serbs voted on Sunday, said the president of the Srpska List, Aleksandar Jablanović, noting that more than 15,000 voted in the north.

About 130,000 Serbs were eligible to vote, while the electoral roll were included a total of 1,782,454 voters.
