Dodik appeals to Vučić to send assistance to RS

BELGRADE -- Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić conferred with RS President Milorad Dodik on Tuesday about "the strengthening of bilateral economic ties."

They also discussed "relations in the region and the position of the Serb entity, RS, within Bosnia-Herzegovina."

Dodik informed the Serbian prime minister about the gravity of the situation after the floods and called for assistance to be sent to the Serb Republic, with appreciation of the position of Serbia which was also recently hit by the floods.

Vučić promised that assistance would be delivered to the RS to repair infrastructure in Doboj and Šamac.

During the meeting, the two high officials agreed to schedule a new meeting for Friday, when the talks with Serbian Minister of Culture Ivan Tasovac and film director Emir Kusturica would cover the marking of the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the First World War.
