Tom Jones’ great voice promise of tremendous performance

BELGRADE - Legendary singer Tom Jones will perform at Belgrade's Kombank Arena on June 15.

Jones will have the audience in the Serbian capital enjoy some of his best known hits, such as “She’s a Lady", "It’s not Unusual", "Kiss", "Delilah", "If I Only Knew", "Sex Bomb" and others, for the second time, the first time being in 2009, when he put on a spectacular two-hour concert, also in Arena.

The singer and his 10-strong band are arriving in Belgrade a day earlier, on June 14. Jones told Serbian media recently that his performance would not be accompanied by grand scenic effects and choreography like in many international stars’ shows.

I cannot function with a lot of people on stage. All these dancers distract me, Tom Jones said, adding that his band, his voice, and himself were quite enough, and he was not a bad dancer at all.

Most of the audio and lighting equipment for the show will arrive from Austria and Italy.

The singer's career spans over half a century, during which he has won numerous awards, including a BRIT Award for Best Male and for Outstanding Contribution to Music, a Silver Clef Award for Lifetime Achievement, the Hitmaker Award from the US Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the UK Music Industry Trust Award.

He made cameo appearances in The Simpsons animated sitcom, and two films - Mars Attacks!, a 1996 American comic SF and Agnes Brown, a 1999 American/Irish romantic comedy-drama.

He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II of England in 2006.

Tickets for the concert are available from all CS Eventim ticket offices, at Kombank Arena, Bilet Centar, Dom omladine, ‘Usce’ Shopping Center and online via www.kombankarena.com and www.eventim.rs at prices ranging from...
