Vučić attends working lunch with Merkel

BERLIN -- Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić launched his two-day visit to Germany by attending a working lunch with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Merkel welcomed the Serbian prime minister "with highest military and state honors, featuring the intonation of the national anthems of the two countries and flag salute," Tanjug reported.

The working lunch is attended by Serbian Justice Minister Nikola Selaković and German chancellor's Foreign Policy Adviser Christoph Heusgen, Economic Adviser Lars-Hendrik Roeller, Advisor for the EU Affairs Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut and Secretary of State to the German Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs Markus Ederer.

According to announcements, Vučić and Merkel will discuss the two countries' relations and Serbia's EU path.

After the working lunch, Merkel and Vučić will issue statements for reporters.

Vučić will then confer with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the agenda will cover bilateral, European and international matters.

Vučić is also "upposed to meet with former foreign minister of Germany Guido Westerwelle," reported Tanjug.
