Ciro Blazevic: Serbia showed us how to play against Brazil

Can Croatia repeat or at least come near to its success from 1996 and the third place at the world championship in France? The creator of that success Miroslav Ciro Blazevic says it can!

In his interview with the Blic the reputable coach says that his team only needs to repeat the game that Serbia played against Brazil in recent friendly.

- We shall defeat Brazil. I watched the match between Brazil and Serbia. You played better. I am huge optimist. Had Serbia qualified I think that Croatia and Serbia would play in the final – Blazevic says smiling.

So you are sorry that Serbia shall not play in Brazil?

‘I am sorry, indeed. It’s a shame because you have a game, a team, and talented footballers’.

You shall have two national teams, Croatia and Bosnia/Herzegovina?

- Not two but four. There are also Iran and Switzerland! Croatia and Bosnia shall qualify for the second round and to the semifinal, I guarantee. Switzerland shall make a huge success, too. Iran cannot… Croatia has the best midfield line up – Modric is playing in the Real, Rakitic in the Barcelona, Kovacic in the Inter.

What about selector Niko Kovac?

- I have huge trust in him, he is so moral and takes no suggestions from here and there. Croatia cannot find a better selector than he is.

Who shall be the first goal getter of the championship?

-Edin Dzeko’.

- Luka Modric!

- Argentina.
