Corlatean congratulates Chisinau authorities for progress made in the European integration process

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Titus Corlatean, on Tuesday received the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Moldova that participated in the last couple of days in Bucharest in the 4th meeting of the Joint Romanian-Moldovan Parliamentary Committee for European Integration, occasion on which he congratulated the authorities in Chisinau for their progress made in the European integration process.

According to a release of MAE to AGERPRES, the delegation from the Republic of Moldova is led by Ana Gutu, Co-President of the Committee and President of the Committee for Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Moldovan Parliament.

On this occasion, Titus Corlatean congratulated the authorities in Chisinau for their progress made in the European integration process and appreciated the signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union, scheduled for June 27, as representing 'both a recognition of the efforts made so far by the Moldovan authorities and as a firm commitment made by the European citizens and partners to achieve the democratic reforms and advance with the process of European modernisation and transformation of the state.'

The two interlocutors also shared their opinion according to which the moment should be equally marked in Bucharest and Chisinau.

According to MAE, they also made during the meeting a track record of the bilateral Strategic Partnership, with emphasizes on the large interconnection projects and the various types of Romanian assistance offered to the Republic of Moldova.
