Serbia-Montenegro cooperation in European integration

BELGRADE - Serbia sees Montenegro as an important regional partner on the path of European integration, Serbian Minister without portfolio in charge of European integration Jadranka Joksimovic said in the talks with Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Igor Luksic on Tuesday.

Joksimovic and Luksic agreed that cross-border cooperation and coordinated approach are important for defining the priorities in the use of funds the EU intends to direct in the Western Balkan region through investments, the Serbian government Office for Cooperation with the Media released on Tuesday.

The two officials agreed that in this way, the region could become more compact and competitive.

The ministers agreed to improve the two countries' cooperation and identified the areas in which they can back each other on the EU paths.
