The People's Movement Party (PMP) has signed the 'Commitment to Fight Corruption', which stipulates the modification of the regulations of the Deputies Chamber and the Senate, so that the voting on lifting parliamentary immunity to be made in full sight, by using the electronic system, according to a release on Wednesday sent to AGERPRES by Romanian Coalition for Fighting Corruption.

The document also stipulates that the signatory party will back up such draft laws supporting the fight against corruption and it will also vote against any such legislative initiatives that reduce the responsibilities of the institutions involved in combating corruption, reduce the sentences for corruption deeds and even give pardon to the corrupts.

The abovementioned release also specifies that the PMP Chairwoman, Elena Udrea, signed the document, in the name of the part she leads, on Monday.

PMP is thus becoming the 4th parliamentary party in Romania assuming the principles of 'Commitment to Fight Corruption', after PDL (Democratic Liberal Party), PNR (Romanian National Party) and FC (the Civic Force).

The Romanian Community Coalition, also known as 'Romanian Coalition for Fighting Corruption' is an organisation established in the United Stated by the Romanian community there that supports the fight against corruption in Romania. AGERPRES
