Donor conference on July 16 or 17

BELGRADE - Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday the most realistic option was to hold the donor conference regarding the recent floods in Serbia and the region on July 16 or 17.

"The exact date of the donor conference is not known yet, but, as things stand today, the most realistic outcome is to hold it on July 16 or 17," he noted.

Serbia is partly to blame for this, as well as the fact that it was impossible to get the exact data about the scale of the damage, even though international institutions were involved in the work in order to avoid irregularities, he explained.

Correct data is needed before Serbia can seek assistance and support, he pointed out.

He thanked Slovenian Prime Minister Alenka Bratusek for Slovenia's desire to hold the donor conference sooner.

"I think this is a realistic date and a realistic deadline for us to prepare all our papers, all our estimates," Vucic stated.
