Vucic-Luksic: Serbia-Montenegro relations very good

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic talked on Wednesday with Igor Luksic, Montenegro's deputy prime minister and foreign minister, about improvement in bilateral cooperation, especially on infrastructure projects.

The officials noted that relations between the two countries are very good, but that there is still room for improvement in economic cooperation, the government's press office said.

The Serbian prime minister thanked the Montenegrin government for assistance during the recent severe floods.

They also discussed the exchange of experiences and mutual support in the EU integration process.

An agreement has been reached for the two countries to apply together for EU funds that should be used for construction of a highway that will connect Serbia and Montenegro and a revamp of the Belgrade-Bar railway.

The officials also discussed the ways to step up regional cooperation and strengthen trust between the countries of Southeast Europe, the release notes.
