Dacic to visit Varna and Bucharest

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic will head the Serbian delegation at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) in Varna on Thursday.

According to a release issued by the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dacic will also take part in the Annual Meeting of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) and the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) which will be held in Bucharest on June 19 and 20.

According to an announcement issued at the BSEC Meeting in Varna, the minister of foreign affairs of Romania confirmed his attendance, as well as his counterpart from Bulgaria which is concluding its presidency in BSEC. The other delegations will be represented by deputy ministers of foreign affairs, all except Turkey which will be represented by the ambassador with residence in Sofia.

The RCC Annual Meeting will mark the beginning of implementation of the RCC Strategy and Work Programme 2014-2016 and the South East Europe 2020 Strategy. During the meeting, officials should exchange opinions on the development of regional cooperation in South-East Europe and sum up the results of the implementation of the RCC Strategy and Work Programme 2011-2013.

During the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs from SEECP countries, the talks will cover the current affairs in South-East Europe with an emphasis on regional cooperation.

The meeting should be attended by foreign ministers of Albania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Turkey and Montenegro and EU representatives, the release states.
