Seven villagers allegedly kidnapped by PKK in Uludere

Militants from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) allegedly kidnapped seven villagers in a rural area of the southeastern province of Şırnak late on June 22.

Seven people, five of them relatives, left for a forested area in the Uludere district to collect wood early on June 22, but did not return home until the morning of June 23 morning. Their relatives then called the security forces and claimed that they had been kidnapped by PKK militants.
