Dacic, Ljajic discuss visa liberalization

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic met on Wednesday to discuss further liberalization of the visa regime that would help attract foreign investors and tourists to Serbia.

The ministers underlined the significance of initiating bilateral agreements on visa liberalization with Serbia's most important economic partners, Foreign Ministry stated in a release.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs agreed to work jointly with the Interior Ministry on an initiative aimed at streamlining the procedure for foreign nationals entering the country on a Schengen, American or British visa.

In order to encourage further promotion of economic diplomacy and particularly the promotion of Serbia's economic interests abroad, the two ministries need to cooperate more closely and make the best possible use of the network of diplomatic and consular offices of Serbia.
