The Operational Sectoral Programme 'Human Resource Development' and the Operational Sectoral Programme 'Raising Economic Competitiveness' (POS CCE) could use up 100 percent of their respective European Funds by the end of 2015, said Eugen Teodorovici, Minister of European Funds, according to a press release remitted on Wednesday to AGERPRES.

The minister participated on Wednesday to the meeting of the POS CCE Monitoring Committee.

"We must reach a minimum of 500 million euro value of invoices sent to the European Commission until the end of the year, in order to avoid losing money as has happened in the past, when, due to incompetence, nearly 20 million euro were lost due to a former chief of the Management Authority", said Teodorovici.

He appealed to the beneficiaries to use the new return system.

"I don't want to spend money just so it's spent. A national effort is necessary to send a clear signal to the market and private beneficiaries of Romania change their opinion regarding the work ethic approached by the current government", Teodorovici added.

Marian Raduta, representative of the European Commission, stated at the meeting on Wednesday that Romania is in an extremely important moment from the point of view of the 2014-2020 programming period and that the positive aspects recorded since the last meeting of the Monitoring Committee for the current 2007-2013 period are notable.
