Kirby: US allocates additional USD 1.5 million of aid

BELGRADE - U.S. Ambassador in Serbia Michael Kirby stated on Friday that the U.S. government has allocated additional USD 1.5 million worth of assistance for the flood-hit population in Serbia, so the total aid his country set aside for the purpose adds up to USD 2 million.

Addressing a news conference with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Kirby said that the U.S. government in Belgrade would continue helping citizens in the flood-hit areas and announced that he would visit Ub, western Serbia, on July 11, and deliver aid to citizens.

We will provide ATM cards with EUR 200 worth of aid so that citizens may buy the products they need most, Kirby said.
