PDL (Democratic Liberal Party) and PNL (the National Liberal Party) on Wednesday will submit to the Deputies Chamber a simple motion about the political interference in the justice system, in which they especially refer to the Duicu case [Adrian Duicu, chief of the Mehedinti County Council, accused of corruption], PDL chairman, Vasile Blaga said in the end of the meeting of the Standing Bureau of the Party.

He explained that the motion will be submitted during the extraordinary session so that 'the Parliament will found out exactly about the Prime Minister's involvement in the Duicu case.'

'It is crucial that the Parliament knows exactly what the Prime Minister's involvement was in the Duicu case. Did he discuss with Adrian Duicu in his office? Did he invite the chief of the Romanian Police, the Ministry of Justice in his office and did he propose Mrs Ponea as the chief of the DNA's Department of Justice?' said Blaga.

He also added that the Minister of Justice, Robert Cazanciuc, will also be invited 'to explain what exactly happened when Mrs Ponea, the wife of the former chief of the IJP (County Police Inspectorate) Mehedinti currently under arrest, got nominated for chief-prosecutor at the Department of Justice of the DNA.'

Blaga said that 'the DNA indictment shows very clearly that Victor Ponta and the PSD (the Social Democratic Party) are trying very hard to politicize the institutions responsible for implementing the law: the Ministry of Interior, the Prosecutors' Office and the Ministry of Justice.' AGERPRES
