Free cruise instead of Boat Carnival

BELGRADE - The Tourism Organisation of Belgrade will organise free rides on tourist ships on July 5.

The Boat Carnival was previously announced for that day, but it will not be held because of the May floods in Serbia.

Besides the free rides, there will also be an international event entitled Danube Blue Week organised by the Danube Competence Centre and supported by the German organisation for cooperation GIZ.

Various activities in Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia are being held under the common slogan Do It for the Danube, all in order to draw attention to the significance of the Danube, cooperation between the countries along the river and participation of the local communities in the ecological, cultural and socially responsible projects that aim to develop the potential of the Danube.
