CORNER STONE: Blic foundation starts building houses for flood victims in Obrenovac New hope for the families

Humanity won another victory in Obrenovac, a city that has suffered the most damage during the floods which occurred in Serbia in May of 2014. Construction of the first 10 houses for the most affected flood victims, donated by Blic Foundation in collaboration with TV Prva has begun on Saturday 28th 2014. The cornerstone of the first house was laid by the Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, Tijana Bajović, President of the Board of Directors of the Blic foundation and Zvezdana Jovanovic,Executive Director of information program on TV Prva.

The contract for the construction of 10 prefabricated 55 square meter houses was yesterday signed by Tijana Bajović, Mayor of Belgrade Siniša Mali and Director of the Government Office for assistance and reconstruction of flooded areas Marko Blagojević. In just two months - time the company "Domtera doo" will need to complete the construction - ten socially disadvantaged families, which remained homeless due to floods, will be able to move in. The Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić yesterday expressed his gratitude to Blic Foundation and TV Prva and announced that the state will continue to build other destroyed houses in Obrenovac.

- Every person left without home will get a home. The state will finance the construction of demolished houses, in Obrenovac there are 14 of them, and probably another 50 houses will be financed by our friends from the United Arab Emirates. In ten days all procedures will be completed and people will start to receive money for damaged houses - Vučić said.
