EU commissioner in "surprise visit" to Belgrade

BELGRADE -- EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule will arrive here on Wednesday evening, and his visit will be unofficial, B92 has learned.

Fule will stop in Belgrade on his way to Kotor, Montenegro, where an informal meeting of Western Balkans foreign ministers will be held on Thursday.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić will attend that gathering.

B92 has also learned that Fule will confer with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić this evening. Tanjug is reporting that no "official meetings" have been scheduled.

After Montenegro, the EU commissioner will travel Dubrovnik, Croatia, where a summit of regional heads of state or government will take place.
