India Serbia Photography Contest 2014 opens

BELGRADE - Indian Ambassador in Serbia Narinder Chauhan announced the opening of India Serbia Photography Contest 2014 at the EXIT festival in Novi Sad on Friday, the Indian Embassy in Belgrade released.

The contest theme is 'My Land. My People' and the contest will be open to the citizens of Serbia and India, running until November 10, 2014. The results of the contest will be announced in December.

Teams have been created on both sides to run the contest, with Brand Serbia, Exit Festival and Exit Foundation as Serbia's teams and IdeaWorks Design & Strategy as the team in charge of the contest in India.

The contest will enable the people of Serbia and India to capture their perspectives on their country, people and culture on camera. All the brilliant entries will be shared with all through the social media networks of Facebook and Twitter, the release states.

The India Serbia Photography contest has been conceptualised by IdeaWorks Design & Strategy of India as a programme that not only encourages all citizens from the two countries to participate, but it also brings together professionals from both the countries to work together in the jury panel that comprises of some notable photography professionals from both the countries.

National Institute of Design, India's leading design school and also ranked amongst the top 30 design schools in the world, is also collaborating in this project.

Etihad Airways will sponsor the Grand Prize Winner from Serbia with two tickets to India and India Tourism Office, Frankfurt (Incredible India) will host the two guests from Serbia in India for 7 days.
